Job Description

Requirements:

US Citizen or US work permit.  
Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (or equivalent) advantageous.
Strategic Procurement/Sourcing experience.
ERP experience advantageous.
Experience ideally within the construction/industrial/oil & gas industry. 
Excellent communication skills, someone who can communicate at any level.
Strong negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and go the extra mile.
Well organised, self-reliant performer.
Process and improvement driven.
Passion for people development.
Willingness to travel (up to 50%), including outside the USA.

Role & Responsibilities:

Reporting to Global Procurement Director;
Responsible for developing and implementing the procurement strategy and guidelines
in the USA; There is scope for covering other regions outside USA;
Assist with the implementation of a companywide ERP system; 
Continuously improve and re-evaluate the purchasing activities for the region;
Manage the supply chain for the region;
Develop, maintain and continuously evaluate a preferred supplier database;
Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers to ensure cost effectiveness and compliance;
Execute supplier audits on regular basis to ensure high and reliable quality levels;
Monitor performance of suppliers and match with expectations of internal stake holders;
Ensure high stake holder satisfaction by efficient and professional complaint management;
Ensure and maintain reporting transparency for Procurement;
Exploit supplier contribution for product innovation;
Maintain and improve processes and internal communication;
Train and develop people in the USA;
Other tasks upon request of Global Procurement Director.
