Note: This position is open to candidates looking to relocate to Perth, Western Australia. Formwork experience not required, however civil construction methodology experience is required.

Our Client is offering the exciting role of Regional Manager, who will be responsible for planning and executing the company’s sales strategy, ensuring a profitable outcome is achieved. In this role, the Regional Manager will lead, with excellence, our operations in meeting our customers’ requirements who are predominantly civil construction companies active in the mining sector with a focus on the efficiency of operations, safety, logistics, engineering and chain of responsibility.
The Regional Manager’s role is to facilitate all aspects of our Pilbara operations, primarily marketing the organisation and developing a broad customer base.
The successful candidate will ensure a profitable outcome related to sales, equipment hire, cost containment and procedures. Business planning within allotted time frames and in line with budgetary allocations is a significant part of the Regional Manager’s role. Judgment and initiative, along with sound business acumen, must be used to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles.
The Regional Manager will report directly to the Regional Director and will be an integral member of the team. Not only will they be responsible for the day-to-day regional operating functions, but they will also possess skills to drive best practice. The Regional Manager will be working in a dynamic work environment and will need to be able to think on their feet and report on and present sales, operational and financial results. As the role is based in Perth, regular travel to Port Hedland and the surrounding Pilbara region will be required.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
Development and implementation of a Business Plan.
Seek and establish a diverse client base and obtain maximum market share with provided resources.
Promote company products and values, grow and expand profitable business in the region.
Develop and manage the business operations processes.
Coordinate engineering requirements between clients and our engineering office.
Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of operating costs and contractor costs in accordance with approved budgets and forecasts.
Ensure senior management and key staff receive information pertaining to sales, financial and cash forecasts.
Reporting on capital expenditure and maintenance of asset records.
Ensuring capital plans, strategic plans, operating plans, annual budgets, and monthly forecasts are finalised in a timely manner and in accordance with aligned goals.
In order to be successful in this role, the applicant will have:
A degree/qualification in an engineering or business-related field.
A strong management reporting background.
Proven commercial experience in a similar role; preferably in complex civil or infrastructure construction.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence, inspire and lead key stakeholders.
A strong background in continuous improvement and development.
