Job Description

The National Sales Manager will be responsible for the achievement of the sales budget including systems, plywood and component sales and rental. The targets will be achieved by providing direction, guidance, coaching and mentoring to the retail sales force across Australia to ensure that our sales steering processes are being followed/actioned. In addition, the role will also be responsible for the management and development of the Canberra / ACT area.

Role & Responsibilities:

Management and leadership of the Sales team nationally.
Ensures customer service levels from the retail team are met.
Ensures that all Company Compliance requirements are met by themself and the team including sales process.
Ensures that client issues are directed to the appropriate business area as they happen.
Ensures that the retail monthly forecasts are accurate and updated in Victori.
Maintains face to face contact with current and future retail clients by carrying out calls with salespeople.
Conducts weekly sales forecast meetings.
Conducts Quarterly KPI reviews and implements corrective action where required.
Signs off all proposals with discount levels above sales executive authority.
Provides recommendations to the Managing Director on marketing requirements.
Provides transparency on customer service issues experienced by Retail Sales team to other Heads of Departments.
Supports the Managing Director in the development of the retail revenue and margin budget.
Communicating locally and to the region competitor trends and market developments.
Accountable for ensuring that existing and new clients are financially viable and there is a clear path to payment process in place and followed by all sales people.
Carries out remuneration and salary discussion with Retail Sales team when required.
Coordinates the planning, training and optimization of the Retail Sales team resources.
Responsible for the Retail Sales team strategy development by state and product mix.
Ensuring that all enquiries for retail are actioned in a 24 hour time frame.
Responsible for the timely closure of projects managed by the Retail Sales team.
Responsible for setting the highest standard of professionalism and leading by example.

Proven Sales ability to ensure you quickly develop credibility with your reports
