Head of Industrial Scaffolding - Europe

Job Description

We are looking for a Head of Industrial Scaffolding for Europe, someone from the Industrial Services sector. Your passion for the industry coupled with solid experience and an extensive network in the countries of our area is what will make you successful in this role. 

As the Head of Industrial Scaffolding reporting to the Executive Vice President Europe, you will enable and support the BD Managers and country organizations so they have everything they need to develop and grow this business segment successfully. You will be the expert for all questions around industrial scaffolding and you will ensure that our projects are handled professionally. The role will work closely with sales and product development teams as well as various other stakeholders in the countries, area, and headquarters.


Vast sales experience in scaffolding, particularly in Europe
Preferred Bachelor degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Structural or Construction)
Technical sales experience in oil & gas or industrial industry
Good understanding of the requirements of industrial scaffolding customers particularly for Europe
Sound knowledge of scaffolding systems and standards ideally ring-lock system
Practical on-site scaffolding experience
Ability to understand novel problems and find solutions  
Well-developed numerical ability and detail orientation
Strong sales fundamentals and skills: listening, probing, negotiation, close
Ability to build strong and long lasting relationships particularly with internal and external clients
Ability to communicate and engage with people at different levels in the organization
Confident in demeanor and assertive in approach
Ability to embrace challenge, criticism, and opposition 
Ability to quickly bounce back from disappointments and maintain a positive attitude 
Clear communication skills in English
Willingness to travel and be mobile

Role & Responsibilities

To lead the team of Business Development Managers in the Area
To implement the overall Group Scaffolding Strategy within the Area
To identify potential customers and projects and secure industrial scaffolding business
To manage projects and determine project sales strategy 
To conduct a strategic overview of the industrial scaffolding market 
To identify scaffolding standards for the region and countries
To build and train scaffolding teams in various countries in the region
To collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure a successful execution of each project
