Job Description

The Engineering Manager USA oversees and manages the USA engineering.  He/she is responsible for strategic planning; ensure policies, procedures and standards are implemented and adhered to throughout the country. Possesses strong leadership and management skills to guide, advise and collaborate with Area, Branch and Engineering Managers to achieve branch and country objectives.

Requirements:

Must be eligible to work for any company in the USA.  
Must be willing to travel, traveling to branches, internal or external meetings and job sites.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering in the areas of construction, structural, civil, or mechanical required. 
Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering and experience in concrete forming required. 
Professional Engineering license preferred; ability to obtain a PE license, a plus.
Comprehensive construction-specific practical experience (building construction, site or project management.
Knowledge of the US market (competition, market potential, benchmarking), economics, budgeting, labor legislation and safety regulations.
Able to set and change priorities to meet business demands, schedule project assignments while managing staff, oversee multiple projects concurrently and support the branches. 
Proficient computer skills using Word, Excel and PowerPoint. AutoCAD and Outlook a plus. 
Excellent communication skills including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing).
Qualitative abilities including strong analytical skills, technical proficiency and effective problem-solving skills.
Willing and able to learn new products, concepts and techniques. 
Thorough knowledge and understanding of USA Federal, state and local standards, regulations, codes, legislation and trends affecting the formwork industry.
Understands how the projects and activities of the branch offices affect the corporation worldwide.

Promotes and insists on active communications, discussions and feedback culture, problem solving, decision-making, presentation, modernization, etc.
Gives support in the introduction of new employees, supports the flow of information in the company and publicly represents the area.
Regularly reviews work and ensures compliance to standards and department procedures. 
Motivates teams and promotes delegation of tasks.
Implements Engineering KPI’s for the USA engineering department according to the strategy. 
Supports and coordinates the planning and optimization of personnel and material costs and develops strategies for optimization. 
Carries out qualitative and quantitative personnel planning that is strategy orientated to support branch-engineering managers while considering employee potential.
Support the development of internal standards in area of responsibility. 
Coordinates the transfer and securing of knowledge for the company.
Supports the definition of the product strategy for each branch and the country.
Develops, coordinates or both, the use of the assessment systems (e.g. auditing system, Cockpit, CapPlan, etc.) while considering company standards, makes use of these in continuous improvement and requires implementation. Recognizes improvement potential, uses existing possibilities for change, and demands implementation of such.
Other duties/projects as assigned, such as participating in company committees/teams. 
Represents the company at relevant industry meeting and associations.
