Credit Control Manager

Job Description

Must be fluent in Arabic with experience in the Construction industry.  

Requirements:

Graduate with at least 10 years of experience in credit control function with at least 3 years in a manager role within a scaffolding/formwork and construction environment.
Effective communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
Strong ability to build & manage external customer relationship.
Ability to manage a team or team leadership skills.
Creative problem solving and firm decision-making skills.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal skills & a good team player.
Ability to work under pressure and meeting targets.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
Knowledge and experience of risk mitigation methods (PDC, LC, BG, SC etc.)
Good business acumen for problem solving.
Good knowledge of SAP and proficient in MS Office.
Valid Saudi driving License.
Willingness to travel and visit customers in any city in KSA and Bahrain.

Role & Responsibilities:

Manages the credit control function ensuring development and implementation of an effective credit control mechanism in line with the company credit policy & procedures, while keeping a balance between risk mitigation and customer retention. 
Ensures healthy collection levels. Lead the credit team to ensure KPI’s are delivered and/or performed in timely manner. 
Further assess credit worthiness of potential customers and existing customers to award credit limits & terms, so as to ensure minimal exposure to bad debts.
Routine joint visits with sales & credit controller for query resolution with both internal & external customers. 
Credit vetting of new & existing customers periodically to assess and provide acceptable credit limits & terms based on credit worthiness to ensure minimal exposure to bad debts. 
Monitor & validate exceptions to credit policy & overtrades. 
Implement the dunning process as per the company credit & collection policy. 
Review orders on hold & suggest action plans to mitigate the risk while retaining the customer.
Adherence to company credit & collection policies – ensure that risk is minimised in the A/R portfolio by ensuring company guidelines are followed with reference to the establishment of credit limits, documentation & collection efforts. 
Preparation of KPI reports, targets & monthly reports. Ensure smooth functioning of A/R administration, reconciliation, data management, etc. 
Identify and mitigate risks on outstanding debts with potential default associated with debtors and proactively communicate/escalate with the line manager to mitigate such risks.
