Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HR professional with outstanding people skills to manage our personnel and ensure that our human resources programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business objectives.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess a high work ethic, excellent communication skills, knowledge of labor regulations internationally and HR practices, strategic thinking abilities, strong organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.

The Head of HR works in very close cooperation and partnership with the HR responsible in the countries of the area and is functionally responsible for all HR processes and standards.

The Head of HR should improve HR processes, implement strategies that support business growth, improve morale and employee retention, enhance safety and wellness, strengthen relations between staff and employers, manage job satisfaction, attract the best recruits, and promote the organization's values.

The main location of this position is Austria, remote work is partly possible - long term perspective could be to move in a country within the area.  

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the overall employee life cycle - hiring - retaining - development
• Developing and implementing human resources policies in alignment with Doka global standards
• Supporting strategic objectives - especially People Development & Leadership
• Streamline Recruiting Process & Talent pipeline, taking the lead for Sen. Recruiting positions
• Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
• Managing staff wellness and performance reviews
• Developing the HR team and define clear responsibilities
• Sparring partner and point of contact for the Executive Team as well as for       employees
• Handling employee benefits & compensation
• Manage expat management within the area and with other areas
• Professional & compliant business behavior
• Designing and directing training programs
• Participation and contribution to the global HR network
• Travelling within the area appr. 30%

Qualifications

• Min. Bachelor's degree in human resources management
• Overall work experience in HR min. 15 years
• Experience in Leadership 3-5 years
• Experience in an industrial/production environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (Spanish and/or German is a plus)
• Experience in HR processes and administration standards
• Highly organized and hands-on mentality
• Superior interpersonal skills - mediation in conflicts
• Good problem-solving skills
• Fast adapting to changes
• Willingness to share and learn
• Budget management experience and KPIs
• Strong people skills
• Knowledge of labor laws and regulations
• Computer literacy - Microsoft, Presentation, Excel, SAP
• International work experience

The position is classified as group IVa according to the collective agreement of the wood-processing industry. That would mean a monthly minimum full-time salary of EUR 3.072,-- Extra payments depending on qualification and experience.
